The school, which serves 1,000 students, was partially submerged. Located in one of the neighbourhoods hardest hit by the flood, the school suffered structural losses. The school has a ground floor and two-storey block structure, made of cladding and exposed brickwork, as well as wooden buildings. The entire ground floor was invaded by water. The Type 1 school serves around 1,023 pupils at an average cost of R$ 2.278,10 per student. Estimated value of the investment for renovation: R$ 3.547.197,00.
