Description

The Vila Elizabeth Community Centre (CECOVE), located in the Sarandi district of Porto Alegre, RS, was severely affected by recent floods. This vital institution offers sports, social and leisure activities to the local community. Its infrastructure includes swimming pools which, after periods of neglect, have undergone renovations. CECOVE is a key player in projects that promote well-being and community integration. Of particular note is ‘Viva Elizabeth’, an initiative that aims to transform the region into a cultural and artistic tourist centre. With an estimated investment of R$2,500,000.00 in its construction, the centre is now facing the challenge of post-flood recovery, reaffirming its crucial role in local development and promoting quality of life for residents.
