Within Integrated Management, the selective collection of reusable or recyclable solid waste (dry waste) stands out. This waste separated by the population generates employment and income for workers formally organized in associations and/or cooperatives, as well as helping to preserve the environment. Porto Alegre City Hall provides all the infrastructure for the UTs and guarantees the cost of maintenance with around R$5,200.00 per month.
